Jannik Sinner. A tennis prodigy, the first Italian in history to become No.1 in the world of the official ATP ranking. Just 22 years old. What else to add? Despite his young age, he has captured worldwide attention thanks to his skills and his unparalleled achievements in the most prestigious competitions.
With a victory to his credit at the Australian Open in January 2024, as well as numerous other prestigious achievements in the aftermath, Sinner has definitely captured the attention of the world and we are ready to continue to stand by his side, as from 2019 to the present.
For Lavazza, Jannik Sinner is more than a worldwide sport ambassador. This partnership combines the passion shared by Sinner and Lavazza for excellence and commitment to craft. Lavazza recognises the importance of nurturing young talent and believes in Jannik’s potential to shape the future of tennis.
After winning his first Grand Slam at the Australian Open in January 2024, Sinner has continued his winning streak by taking 1st place at the Rotterdam Open in February, and has had a great start at the Miami Open in March, where he has already beaten Australian Christopher O’Connell and will soon play against Czech player Tomas Machac for a place in the semi-final. We’re certainly staying tuned for his next movements this year.
The Fox, as he is known to his friends and fans, Jannik Sinner reclaimed his old school nickname to create a cryptic logo for himself. The ears of the fox represent the mountains of northern Italy, where he grew up and spent much of his childhood on the slopes as a competitive skier before his passion for tennis took centre stage. The lines of the logo represent the angles on a tennis court, and the lines of the logo make out his initials, J and S.
Fans of Sinner may already know about his group of most-dedicated fans, the Carota Boys - a group of Italian friends and tennis fanatics. The Carrot Fans have travelled all over the world to watch Jannik compete, always dressed for the occasion in their bright-orange carrot costumes.
Next time you are watching Jannik Sinner compete in a match, make sure to keep an eye out in the crowd for a group of cheering carrots - you can’t miss them.
Our ‘Jannik Beyond Sinner’ project unveils a rarely seen side of the young champion, demystifying the human behind the accolades. Lavazza has followed Jannik’s career since the beginning, and as the main partner for some highly-prestigious events including Roland Garros, Wimbledon, the US Open and the Nitto ATP finals, we have been lucky enough to get to know a bit more about the man behind the champion.
At Roland Garros, we caught up with Jannik to discuss everything from his pre-match rituals to coffee and food. Speaking of the pre-match mindset, he emphasised the importance of trying to relax, eating a healthy meal and most importantly, staying focused on the next round. Jannik’s love of food was inherited from his father, a professional cook, and he shared his annual ritual of trying new foods whenever he visits Paris.
In terms of coffee? Jannik’s drink of choice is a cappuccino.
Last year, Lavazza invited Jannik into our flagship store in Shanghai for a special surprise. Inviting Jannik behind the coffee counter, we introduced him to our brand new creation: the Sinner cappuccino, with a secret ingredient - carrot - and a surprise visit from none other than the Carrot Fans.
