Lavazza wants to tell you the secrets of making this refreshing and flavorful cold brew coffee.
Cold Brew Coffee is rich in aromatic properties and can be stored for more than a day.
Made from a cold extraction system that requires at least 7 or 8 hours of processing, the tool used to make this preparation is known as a Toddy and it is made up of 3 sections: an upper glass jar where the cold water is placed, a central container for ground coffee, and a lower carafe to collect the final product.
The coffee is mixed with the water one drop at a time, for percolation of about 8 drops every 10 seconds.
The drops pass through the coffee powder, capture its characteristics, and come out colored and rich in aromas and substances. The advantage of this drink is its shelf life, which allows you to prepare it in larger quantities at a time; in fact, a coffee extracted with the cold brew method can be kept for up to 2–3 days in the refrigerator.
Although the United States made Cold Brew Coffee famous in the coffee world, in Japan people were already enjoying it in the 1600s.
During that period, Dutch merchants began introducing it to the rest of the world, which is why now it is also known as Dutch Coffee or Kyoto Coffee.
Just like every star, Cold Brew Coffee also has secrets of its own.
